Tour includes: Three hour guided cultural walk with local Yuin Nation knowledge holder Sharon Mason along the Mystery Bay foreshore, learn about ancient sustainability practices, forage for bush tucker and listen to Dreamtime stories unique to the local Yuin people. Please bring Jacket for cooler weather and comfortable walking shoes suitable for all terrains.
SHARON MASON
The Yuin people have a rich cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years. Today, you have the opportunity to follow traditional Songlines and immerse yourself in the ancient Yuin culture.
During this guided cultural walk along the Mystery Bay foreshore, Sharon will share her knowledge about the Yuin people's ancient sustainability practices. Learn how they have lived in harmony with the land for centuries, utilizing traditional methods to ensure the preservation of their environment.
BUSH TUCKER
As you walk you will have the chance to forage for bush tucker, discovering the diverse range of Indigenous plants and their uses in traditional medicine and cuisine. Sharon will share her expertise and teaching you about the significance of these bush foods to the Yuin people.
DREAMTIME STORIES
One of the highlights of this tour is the opportunity to listen to Dreamtime stories unique to the local Yuin people. These stories are an integral part of Yuin culture, passing down important teachings and connecting the community to their ancestral heritage. Sharon will bring these stories to life, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual and cultural significance they hold.
