CULTURAL EXPERIENCES. LEARN FROM TRADITIONAL OWNERS OF THE YUIN NATION

The South Coast of NSW is Yuin Country made up of 12 regions from Maroubra Beach in the north,  Monaro to the west and Mallacoota to the south. Narooma is Walbunja Country while Bermagui is Djiringanj Country. It is a place where First Nations peoples have gathered for thousands of years due to its abundance of food and natural resources following the traditional Songlines. Yuin Culture has been handed down by word-of-mouth through language and song for 60,000 years from generation to generation by those chosen within the community. This is not a given birthright but something that has to be earned. We work with seven Traditional Owners who have been given permission by their Elders to share their stories with us. Choose from a range of experiences all highlighting the importance of “Country” and how important it is to look after it for future generations as their ancestors have done. These experiences are authentic and transformational and give a deeper understanding of the South Coast and the Aboriginal culture and Dreaming Stories.
